The Arctic Charr from Iceland is a product of unique quality, the choice of connoisseurs and recognized by gourmet chefs on both sides of the Atlantic.

By specific conditions, pure and steady water supply of the correct temperature range, the Icelandic Charr grows slower than Salmon and its other relatives. It develops musculature that is very firm and in general a finer flake than salmon or trout. The pink flesh has a very elegant taste and a distinct gourmet appeal.

The Icelandic Charr contains 5-15 % fat. It has a high concentration of D vitamins and Omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (17,7%). These acids are not present in the human body but are recognized as agents for breaking down cholesterol and thereby reducing the risk of heart diseases. Nevertheless the Icelandic Charr contains only 201 kcal per 100 g.
